As much as we are angry with the Egyptian Governments stance on Gaza; actually no stance. I totally refuse to accept and disagree with the statement we’ve been reading all over the internet “Shame on Egyptians.” Shame on the Egyptian government and Sisi? Yes, big shame. But the general population of Egypt has nothing to do with this. I’m tired of reading comments from Egyptians apologizing to the public on behalf of their country. It is just unfair. When I used to leave Gaza and go into Egypt, as soon as the people found out I was from Gaza they would give me free food, lines of people hugging me, sincere smiles, invitations etc... There is a massive difference between the general population of Egypt and their army, and the world needs to understand that. No one in the world has helped Gaza more than the Egyptians who disagree with the oppression on Gaza. Thousands of them risked their lives, and many were prisoned and killed because they refused to stay silent and took action. With that being said, I refuse to accept such disrespectful statements about the general population of Egypt. They did not betray us, their government did.
