As of Tuesday, September 17th, the Georgia Institute of Technology has received some sad news: Pre-Health advisor Jennifer Kimble is leaving. Stating that she will move on to a role as the Director of Admissions at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Kimble’s last day at Georgia Tech was Monday, September 30th. What does this mean for the Georgia Tech Pre-Health community? As of now, the students are in limbo. While no new hire has been made yet, we are certain of one thing: this department will be left in capable hands. Provisions have been made to avoid leaving students (especially those applying this cycle) without advising. Keywanne Hawkins ([email protected]) will take over the role of scheduling mock interviews. Kimble’s assistant, Emily Stephens (prehealthasst@gmail), is more than happy to answer any pressing questions. In addition, Shannon Dobranski ([email protected]) will be handling the administrative side of the department. From the bottom of our hearts, we wish Jennifer Kimble the best as she heads off to her new position! We’ll miss you!
