As of today, I am 9 lbs away from being my high school weight. Which is awesome. My goal is still lower than that because of the fact I used to dance 3 hours a day then and had more muscle mass. As promised, I am going to start sharing with each of you what I have done to get to this point. There is nothing like feeling success and then helping others to do the same thing! There are two things that I believe MUST happen in order for someone to enjoy weight loss success based on my own personal journey. 1. Deal with the underlying emotional issues that are the cause of the weight gain (unless there is a health issue, then deal with that.) 2. Detoxify the body of all of the toxins that are in it. I used Green Smoothie Girls 26 Day detox. However, instead of using the supplements that she suggested, I used doTERRA products, (which, for the sake of transparency, I now am a distributor for). *I started off taking the Life Long Vitality Pak before I started the detox for about 30 days. * I started doing a green smoothie every day for breakfast about a month before doing the detox as well. * I took doTERRAs GX assist for ten days before the detox to make things easier on myself. *Once I started the detox, I used doTERRA Zendocrine Oil, Terrazyme formula, and Slim and Sassy oil blend. On day 20 of the detox, I started taking GX Assist again, and PB Assist. Today, I still take Life Long Vitality supplements everyday and I drink a green smoothie for breakfast. These are long-term changes I have made to my lifestyle. Once you detox, you need to change your diet to one that is 95% plant based (at least 65% of it raw) and 5% animal protein. After going through the detox, I found that this was easy to do. There is only one meat that I DO NOT eat and that is pork. The reason is that pigs do not have pores. They cannot sweat out the toxins in their bodies and so it remains in their tissue. It also can stay in the body for about 3 days to digest. The longer food sits in the body, the more dis-ease that can occur. The only beverage I drink is water. I often add a drop or two of doTERRA lemon or grapefruit essential oil to it. (In a glass container). Everyone should be drinking half of their weight in ounces of water a day (if you weigh 200 lbs drink 100 ounces) I try to drink Alkaline water as much as possible. Cancer cannot grow in an alkaline body. The only salt I use is Himilayan (pink) salt, it has all 84 minerals that the body needs. (Sea Salt is way better than table/iodized salt, which is harmful to the body) The only sweeteners I use (still sparingly) are honey, molasses, stevia, coconut sugar, agave and real maple syrup. I do NOT eat processed anything, white flour, white rice, sugar etc. If it comes in a box, bag, can or bottle and is not fresh, then it is probably something that will hurt your body. 80% of the items in the store have hidden sugar and salt in them. (as well as a ton of other unnatural chemicals) I will share more, but I feel this is a lot already!
