As one of the first families in Hillbrook subdivision, for a - TopicsExpress

As one of the first families in Hillbrook subdivision, for a number of years in the 60s, my father, Franklin Brown, would engineer a taking pumpkin, and as a child, I would add special effects (like dancing skeletons and lightning flashes). Neighborhood children would have to kneel if front of the talking pumpkin and make a pledge to be good in order to receive their candy. There were many variations of this script, and it was all in fun for Hillbrook families. Dont think you could do the same in todays world of safety concerns; but its fun to remember a different in our subdivision. I found an old audio recording of my father doing the talking pumpkin routine (audio is somewhat distorted from age), restored it a bit and added some contemporary video and old black & white images of my dad. All in Halloween fun! https://youtube/watch?v=ZtddsSGhDSE
