As parents we often question whether were doing the right things and if our children are comprehending our tough love and lessons. Lately Jerry and I have had a little trouble with the girls. ..nothing major. Just a lot of not listening or doing things as we ask. Some times we need little reminders that were doing something right. I told the girls several times this morning to clean their bedroom and bathroom. Around lunch I passed for about the 5th time today and said, Girls clean your room. Youre not done. I hear a little voice from inside the room. Mommy come see my nativity scene. I walk into their room and look on their desk. It currently has their Christmas village on it. I then hear, No momma. Turn around. Its on the bed. Gracie climbs down her bunk and tells me about the nativity scene. (Its labeled in one of these photos.) I told Maddelynn shell have to sleep with me for the next week. I want to leave this up so Santa can see it. She gets it.....Christmas is not just about Santa. Its a day that we should remember the birth of Jesus. She has told me many times this year that it doesnt matter what Santa brings her. Shell be happy with anything. Its a day we celebrate Jesus. My heart is full hearing and seeing these things from her. I think were doing something right.
