As perhaps many of us I went through an intense Jolly Pumpkin phase as it was a readily available and very good wild ale. I have a number of them cellared and just brought out this 2011 La Roja. It was one of the most well rounded sours Ive had in a long time. A hint of malty sweetness immediately overpowered by subtle fruit and spice and ended with a nice dry tartness. Very nice to see it age this well.
