As posted earlier there is a mass ride tonight meeting at 6pm at Cafe Flora. Please NSR members show up and support numbers dont lie. This is not a social ride or an NSR event it is an event for the cycling community. Lets honor this man and try to get some justice and hopefully in the future cycling in NOLA will be better. It is an early meeting and event but I will post a tracker here if you would like to join us. Some social riders chose not to ride last night and visit the site, I admire them for doing that. I have not been able to eat or ride a bike since reading Victors report yesterday. My stomach is twisted and I cant stop thinking about it and how easy it could happen to someone I know. The mans name is public yet I am not going to put it here. He is on FB and is very similar to many of us, he worked in the service industry, an artist and avid cyclist. I dont think he was member of our group and not sure if he has ever attended a ride. Since NSR seems to work better in numbers I think we should have some meeting points around the city and groups should roll out about 5:30 to get to the event. I will be at NOMA in City Park at 5ish and will roll out at 5:30 prompt anyone in the area please join me. Now anyone coming from other areas please add a comment as to where others can meet up. Riverbend and Garden District are 2 areas that come3 to mind. Remember this is not a party and be respectful of everyone. Peace
