As promised ladies... LEG PRESS Leg press exercises are performed on a leg press machine placing the body in a horizontal, or vertical position, using weighted plates or a weight stack for resistance. For horizontal press machines, place your body on the seat and adjust the position so that your hips and knees are bent at 90 degree angles. Place your feet shoulder-width apart, and keep your ankles in alignment with your knees. Begin the exercise by contracting your glutes and straightening your hips and knees until your body is fully extended. Continue the exercise by bending your hips and knees, returning to the starting position. Contract your abdomen throughout the exercise to avoid arching your back. Complete three to four sets of 12 repetitions.
