As promised the update on the donations for the homeless..... A huge thank you to all that donated, we went out tonight and meet 7 who tonight are warmer, have a coat, new socks, a hat, gloves and equally importantly know people of winchester are thinking about them and care enough to buy and donate them gifts, one man told me it was better than Xmas, as he didnt get anything (although his language slightly more colourful) another a man in his 60s only asked for a duvet, but got some new socks pulled out a pocket of loose change and tried to give it to me, he said wanted to pay as he is a proud man, so we accepted 1p from him and I told him it will go into our church collection pot. Another young man had only what he stood in, now has a full change of clothes and a warm blanket, we had a few hugs from him x I have asked admin if I can do something on Sunday (all will be revealed if ok with admin) do keep your eyes peeled. Once again a huge thank you from all we meet tonight, socks, gloves and coats are always welcome as donations we have heard of some more people living in corners of winchester xxxlove and light xx
