As promised, we had an amazing interview with an amazing daughter of a King Lesedi aka Dj Blossom :-) She is so passionate which shows in the way she articulates. do enjoy and if you would like us to shine light on an inspiring daughter of a King then inbox us :-) Who is Lesedi? >Lesedi a born again young woman,daughter,sister,cousin,niece and friend. Loves laughing, eating and traveling among many other things. Works as a secondary school business studies teacher and also a creative arts,music and dance enthusiast. I love to explore the depth of creativity that I can express myself in within the parameters of gospel art. oh wow, thats awesome! You love creative arts, is that what informed your decision to be a gospel dj? >Yes its one of the things that made me explore the DJ thing what is it like being a female gospel dj? >Being a female gospel DJ is fun, I guess being a DJ as a whole is fun, working with sound and music blending can be challenging but when you have understood what get your audience ticking then all starts flowing. What inspires you? >A whole lot of things inspire me,like seeing other DJs and also the bubble in me that gets me excited, God above all is always there to inspire me through different things like just looking at the clouds can inspire some musical flow in me, there is just so much inspiration in and around me. what advice would you give to sisters who aspire to dj like you or are creative artists? >It should be something you enjoy doing, and always believe only what God says about your craft, I personally do not believe there is such a thing as creative block God has never said that to me. Also work with others as this can help you sharpen your skill. Never be demoralized when your craft is not recognized, keep a positive mindset and before you know it, something pops up. And, respect the male DJs,they too always sacrifice to help out a sister. What is your favorite scripture? >Wow I love so many scriptures, so difficult to choose my favourite,the one that has been my constant referral is Proverbs 4:18, it says But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. I just love how it’s been so true in my life...to me it means everyday with Jesus is sweeter than the day before it’s also a song that I love...it only gets better and better in Christ, and so true. What do you do to keep yourself motivated? >I get myself motivated in many ways, mostly by reading, reading is a powerful motivator. Charging myself in the early mornings with devotion and prayer and praying in Spirit sets me on fire I tell you! Watching TV, going out (Im an outdoor person) also gets me motivated.
