As sad as I was to leave my home in Chiang Mai, I was also excited - TopicsExpress

As sad as I was to leave my home in Chiang Mai, I was also excited to be back on the road and to visit new places. Ive been wanting to come to Sukhothai since the first time I came to Thailand in 2008, yet it never happened. This time, I made sure to visit it before leaving the country, and I believe the wait was worth it! Sukhothai was the first capital of the Kingdom of Siam (now known as Thailand), so it holds the relics and ruins of the beginnings of this kingdom. The Historical park is now a UNESCO site with uncountable ruins spread all over the forested plains. These are just a few shots I took today, but Ill share more in an upcoming post.
