As so many of us are scrambling to put the finishing touches on our Christmas To Do list, we can’t help but feel the New Year looming just around the corner. image There it is, 2015 lightly tapping on your shoulder, with a soft whisper…”Is this going to be the year you do it?” “Is this going to be the year you get fit, and stay fit?” “Is 2015 going to be the one where you get serious about your health and the life you’ve imagined?” In a couple weeks you may be ready to investigate looking into a new gym membership in response to that voice in your noggin. Maybe a conventional gym …or a CrossFit gym..possibly a bootcamp. Well, I’m gonna let you in on a little secret I’ve learned over the years… MEMBERSHIPS DON’T WORK. Choosing a gym and signing up for a membership, even in a CrossFit gym, isn’t likely going to be enough for most people to truly succeed. Sure people out there are doing it and getting fit but it’s not the majority. Even in the CrossFit world with it’s powerful methodology and sense of community, many people can get disillusioned and fizzle out over time. It took me working many years in the fitness industry to feel confident that I have stumbled upon what the missing link is, and how to deliver it… A RELATIONSHIP...... RELATIONSHIPS WORK. Combining a sound methodology, an empowering community, and a strong ongoing relationship with 1 Coach (your Coach), NOW image you’ve found the recipe for success! Of course there’s more pieces of the puzzle, but these my friends are the 3 main ingredients. Now imagine you had a dynamic and meaningful relationship with a well trained and educated Fitness Professional/Coach. A guy/girl that was easy to talk to, you had fun working with, and had a real genuine interest in you and your goals. That the up front expectation of the relationship was to not only get you fit, but to help keep you fit for life (and have fun doing it). This would mean taking the appropriate steps to develop a new health/fitness lifestyle over time. Month to month and year to year. That’s what is missing folks. Well, that’s what we do. At SPC Strength & Conditioning it’s more than a membership, its more than a methodology, and it’s more than group classes. It’s about building relationships with our clients/members in Personal Training sessions AND group classes. It’s also about being proactive with social activities in and out of the gym that introduce members to events that further enhance their active lifestyle. It all starts with our one-on-one INDOC and Fundamentals Program BEFORE GRADUATION to group classes. We don’t throw people into groups until they’re ready. Not until they know what their doing and have built a strong foundation for lifelong fitness.
