As some of you know my friend Sharky Christine Gattas and I rescued this sweet little nugget a couple of days ago. She had been running the streets for at least week that we know of in an area that has numerous predators lurking like coyotes, bobcats, large hawks etc.. and and somehow she made it out there. We had animal control involved to help try and get her but she was to scared and fast for us catch. I myself tried and also with my friend Christine other times. Trying to catch her was heart breaking as she would scream at the top of her lungs while running in fear. Finally with hours of driving around and talking to people in the area Christine found out where she had been sleeping at night. She chose a big beautiful house that had a pool and patio with cushioned furniture and that is where she slept safely as the yard was surrounded by large walls and iron gate that she could squeeze her tiny body through. Now here is where its gets better, these people who live in this house are on vacation for a month and had no idea that she had been going there till the lady who lives nextdoor called them to let them know and also told us that she had seen this little nugget going back there for a few days. This wonderful lady had been leaving her food and water. So since we couldnt catch her we set a trap where she was sleeping and we got her :) I brought her home and she was as scared as can be of course and also as I think she remembers me as the bad guy chasing her, gah!! After opening the trap door once inside my house she didnt want to come out but once I got her slightly out she jumped right into my lap and let me love and kiss her, we just sat there together and got to know one another and she finally trusted me that I was here to help her and not harm her. I let her rest comfortably that night in a crate and let her be so she could gather self and her surroundings. Next morning I introduced her to my pack and observed her and all was good!! Okay so now you ask me where will she go? Well remember the people that are on vacation, mind you in a big motor home and they take their cat with them : ) Yes they want to adopt her! ! They have never met her or seen her but feel that she chose their house for a reason and want to make her a part of their family. They have been wanting to adopt a dog but I think this little nugget adopted them... Yes folks this sweet little dog is going to be traveling in style and living the life in a beautiful house and back yard most of us could only hope for. She is the biggest love bug and just wants to be in a lap, she has a funny little personality that makes me laugh. So till next time and another happy ending I will foster her till her new parents get home in a couple of weeks...
