As some of you know, part of my job is to visit region tourist locations and meet people, take pictures, and write a travel blog for work. Today we visited parts of Adair County and my favorite place we visited was The Wallace Country Life Center near the town of Orient. It is a working organic farm, education center, shop and restaurant that features produce grown on the farm- always seasonal and always fresh. Today for lunch I had Beef and Vegetable Tacos with Cory Family Farms sirloin tip steak, salsa verde, cilantro lime slaw, served with pico de gallo and blue tortilla chips. My friend Sarah had Pork and Veggie Meatballs, Bridgewater Farms ground pork, roasted eggplant and tomatoes served over Israeli cous cous.
