As some of you may know, I am the Program Coordinator for Hunger - TopicsExpress

As some of you may know, I am the Program Coordinator for Hunger and Homelessness at UNLV. Tomorrow we are having the first DASH of the semester. DASH seeks to explore the problems of hunger and poverty by connecting UNLV students and people experiencing homelessness through services provided at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission. We get students to make PB&J sandwiches and put them in a bag along with some water, a piece of fruit, and some crackers. We then take the students down to the Las Vegas Rescue Mission where we give out the bags to the homeless who have just had their nightly meal at LVRM. This gives the students a very good experience and puts them face to face with the problem of Homelessness. Often times, they eat this meal and then have no other source of sustenance for the rest of the night. This provides them with extra food that they can enjoy later on in the night. If you are a student of UNLV and would like to attend and partake in this AWESOME cause, please sign up through the Involvement Center that can be accessed through MyUNLV. Once you are signed into the Involvement Center, follow the link below to see all the dates that are available. From there you can also register. https://unlv.collegiatelink.net/organization/UNLVolunteers/calendar/details/446831 If you are not a student, do not fret! You can still help and get involved! We are in need of donations of peanut butter, jelly, utensils, bags, crackers, etc. If you are interested in helping us out, please send me a message on here or you can contact me in one of two ways: Personal Cell: 702-556-5062 Personal E-mail: david@daviddennison Thank you all for your support! :)
