As some of you may know, I was interviewed on Cross Country Checkup today about the Temporary Foreign Workers program and its importance to our business. Some of you took my comments to mean I dont support Canadian workers. I support Canadian workers entirely and always try to hire Canadians. However, I cannot always find the people I need to ensure we can operate. Hiring workers from overseas is difficult and expensive, but without them this business would close and all our Canadian team members would be out of jobs. Once a person from overseas joins our team, he or she is a team member, not a temporary foreign worker, and is valued by our team and our customers alike. We are all immigrants in this country, after all. And by the way, we are accepting applications for line cooks, if anyone would like to apply.
