As someone who has more than once been physically attacked for publicly wearing clothes which are against the rules of my gender (dresses, skirts) I feel a strong sense of solidarity with Muslim women who get harassed and attacked for wearing veils, headscarfs etc. Is a drag-queen hiding their identity in a dangerous way ? No, she is expressing an important part of who she is. And women who choose to wear a headscarf or a veil?
