As spring draws near i am sure we will stat talking about neighborhood clean up. Yes the neighborhood residents need to do their part, and a lot do a very good job,but we continue to ignore the 900 lb. elephants in the room. The old NVF building is a complete disaster that i have been complaining about for years and no city official seems to be concerned or have any ability to do anything to correct the problem. Moving down Ceader st. the Dart buildings and lot are just as bad. I e mailed a complaint to dart but im sure i will hear no reply. At the foot of Michaels park a light post was knocked down, and if you could see through the weeds and debris you would find a stump with wires sticking up. The fence around the park has more bent sections than straight ones and the benches dont have any seats. If the city wants a nice neighborhood they have to do their part on the parks and the enforcement of vacant properties to make it all work. As we prepare for our first meeting lets bring to light the eye sore parts of our neighborhood that are out of our control and demand answers.
