As the United Nations Integrated PeaceBuilding Office in Sierra leone (UNIPSIL) is officially closing on 31st March 2014 Today at the UNITED NATIONS in COCKERILL ARMY HQ we witness the handing over of communication equipments to the Sierra Leone police (SLP), the Inspector General of Police with his heads of various operations and the Head of UNIPSIL mission and his crews all witness the handing over. It was through mutual understanding, sincerity and goodwill with great wisdom and broad views, the past and present government both sides jointly initiate new opportunities for peace, stability, cooperation and mutual benefit. It is often in the name of cultural integrity as well as social stability and national security that democratic reforms based on respect for human rights and good governance give us the choice between anarchy and dictatorship. Most sierra leoneans will opt for more security and developments, even if they have to give up some personal freedom, Sierra Leone and her citizens have accepted peace, stability and development.
