As the owner of Scream Entertainments and never one to miss a bit of promotion i thought id pipe up and have a bit of input. I do have some sympathy for people who have lost out money but as i am one of the sponsors of the event i do see it from different angles. On one hand people will be disappointed if they have purchased a ticket to see one of the acts and then its cancelled but on the flip side everybody is in the same boat, We are all gutted the bands/djs are gutted that they didnt get to play, the organizers are gutted the events was stopped and sponsors like myself are gutted because we didnt get the exposure we were hoping for by way of not many programmes sold BUT i did see the prior efforts to give Nuneaton an amazing event but not just the effort but the mammoth task of organizing something of this scale and then it all come down to Weather Nuneaton hasnt seen for years. Floods,trees down,roofs blown off and a fire something totally out of control of the organizers and safety has to come first. As a sponsor of the event i am satisfied that the actions of the organizers were correct and they had no option but to stop the event. I will happily be supporting and sponsoring the event again next year be. If the event had continued yesterday and anybody was injured i would never in a million years got involved again.
