As the saying goes behind every successful man there is a great woman but in Jordans case it was a group of very strong women and men. At the top of this list is my mother, his grandma, Euleta - her financial and emotional support was consistent and without it we (Jordan and I) would not have made it. Then there is Patricia Ulett (Miss Pat) who has been more than family to us. She spearheaded the push for a scholarship from DOT for Jordan, without which he would never had been able to afford the prestigious school of State University of New York. There is also former DOT employee, Miss Diane who worked with and encouraged Jordan to make the most of his scholarship. Heather Bodden and Alvis (Bonny) Anglin for believing in Jordan enough to sign on as guarantors for his scholarship. The stern warnings he got from both of these women played a significant role in any thoughts he had of quitting along the way. Last but by no means least, there is The Hon. Mckeeva Bush, who heard from Ms. Pat that Jordans was an extraordinary case of a child needing a scholarship desperately and he took a personal interest in him. Jordan was encouraged by knowing this and set out to never disappoint Mr. Bush but rather show him that a George Town Primary School past student can rank among the best of our returning student. Today Master Jordan Tyler Haye stands tall and proud, wearing the Cayman Islands Flag on his graduation sash with a BA in Economics from The State University of New York.lo
