As the sun goes down on Cathedral Mountain, I watch as snowcaps - TopicsExpress

As the sun goes down on Cathedral Mountain, I watch as snowcaps hide in silhouette and I lament having to leave. With my last cup of Starbucks in hand, I reflect on the eight days I’ve had here with my husband and I smile. We never cast a fly since the Nye winds rattled the metal roof on the condo every day and forced Woody to chase his cap several times, but oh my goodness did we have fun! We burned up the back roads and marveled at God’s majestic artwork Montana, and we lived a little on the wild side, forgetting our age and our aches and pains...until they reminded us at night time. Through it all, I discovered I like Woody, the new rested, non-stressed, retired Woody, and I remembered why I dedicated THE HAWK AND THE DEER (my first romance) to this man: To Woody, My fly fishing partner, My lover, My husband, My best friend. Woody, here’s wishing us many trips to Montana, many days fly fishing on the White River, and many days just sitting (even watching the Outdoor Channel) and counting our blessings…and never ever forgetting why we retired!
