As the sun of the day we call Thanksgiving hides its glow and the stars begin to gleam in the cold autumn’s night… warm and tender thoughts fill my heart and mind as I meditate upon the promises that are so precious and true… for the Living God made them to me in His love letter to me… giving me hope beyond hope… to build my faith and fill my countenance with expectation that at any given moment I could realize the manifestation of one of them… some of them… all of them… …for nothing is impossible when we put our lives and hope in God… the Lover of our souls… the one true God Who can do anything… create anything… hold back or release anything… By an outstretched arm He formed the worlds… by the breath of His mouth He spoke and it came into being… by the Love of His nature all things were created… including YOU and ME!!! …Yes… ESPECIALLY YOU and ME… So you see that HOPE fills my heart as this day of designated Thanksgiving comes to an end… but it does not end for me… may my heart and my mouth always be thankful to my God and Savior for all He has done… and all that He will do… for it is by His choice that I even take another breath… and today… He chose that I should live another day… and I am thankful… and I will be thankful as an act of my will… until I touch His hand in eternity I implore you… my beloved family… friends… and even those who would call yourselves my enemies… find the reason to hope… find the hope that you have been given… grasp the gift of life eternal that awaits your acceptance… and never let it go… for there is NOTHING in this life more important than that… NOTHING!!! May God bless your mouths with good things… so that your youth would be renewed as the eagle’s… and that you would sing of thankfulness… if for nothing more… but that you were allowed to breathe another day… and if you should awaken in the morning… let the first thing that your lips utter be… “Thank YOU LORD for another day… I know that nothing that will cross my path today will be too big for YOU and me… because of YOU!!! And BE THANKFUL!!! and “Sit at the foot of His throne and just be His child” …another song that the LORD gave me many years ago during a trial that tested my faith in His providence… “Close to YOU” May it touch your heart and give you a reason to be thankful… in Jesus’ Mighty yet Loving and Compassionate Name… Amen ©Stan Pollmann…“Solo… but Not Alone”™
