As the weekend comes to a close, many rugby teams have played their final game of the season in supplementary fixtures yesterday. Plenty of the boys were able to enjoy an internal Rugby Sevens competition on a perfect Saturday morning. Due to IGSs short numbers, only A teams will play in the GPS Rugby competition this coming weekend. The First XV had a needed week off this weekend and will come up against IGS out at Ipswich this coming Saturday where a win will secure a Top 4 finish. The First V game against Ipswich has been shifted to Wednesday night to allow the team to compete at the State Championships from Thursday through to Sunday. All boys are welcome to head out to the game on Wednesday to support the team in their final game of the season. A win will ensure 2nd Place and, if Churchie slip up, the Colleges 2nd GPS flag of the year. In other College activities, the Open Hockey team were victorious in their 3rd place playoff on Friday afternoon with an impressive display from Daniel Macpherson. The Premier Chess side will head to Ipswich on Friday night looking to claim a Top 4 finish against bottom of the table IGS. For all boys playing at Ipswich this weekend in Rugby, it is expected that you stick around after your game to support the Firsts in their final game of 2014. Lets finish the term strongly and get behind your men in green. #GreenWhiteBlack #Crusade
