Heh, okay so the thing is lists now. Hokay. Ten movies that had an effect on me or somehow influenced me. (I am taking it as written that Star Wars, LOTR, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail are already on everyones list so I wont even list those.) The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai across the Eighth Dimension. One of the best cult movies ever made, so many memorable lines. The Rocky Horror Picture Show Midnight viewings so many many times, its part of my teen/early twenties cultural identity. The Dark Crystal I used to go to the theater when this was playing, and say Ill have the usual. I think i saw it 15,20 times? Labyrinth Another lifetime favorite with a host of memorable lines and scenes. I know youve seen it. Big Trouble in Little China Bad acting, cheesy effects, just a really really fun movie. And Suzee Pai, omg. The Princess Bride. Do i have to tell you why its good? Altered States. I love the concepts and theories addressed in the movie. Never get tired of it. Nausicca. An early Miyazaki movie. Watch it, if you havent yet. The Gods Must be Crazy. The funny African movie. You havent seen it? Change that. Spirit of Albion. A new movie, 2010, a low-budget pagan musical. This is my nominee for the pagan movie, even more than the 1973 Wicker Man. And in the spirit of these list things, I name Leah Rusche to share hers.
