As to my point of the US pulling a Soviet Union and splintering into ethnic pockets when the national government collapses, we already must pick English or Spanish, and thanks to Rob Copeland, we have this chart showing only 51% for New Yorkers use English at home. Add to that, unlike immigrants of early days, todays do not always want to learn English. They expect you to learn theirs. And, did you know that English is NOT our official language?
