As usual, YS4D will today 5/03/2014 will take part in consultations with other 10 representatives of civil society organizations (CSO) of socially excluded and marginalized groups in Zambia (10 selected from the Copperbelt province by EDUCOM of Czech Republic), on MDGs. This is part of the Post-2015 Development Agenda hearings in various countries around the world. One meeting is scheduled for Lusaka and the other one for Kitwe. We are happy and feel honoured to be part of this great policy review journey. We are also glad to have continued on the right path in Advocacy this year, following our succesful participation at various fora both within and outside Zambia in 2013. We shall remain a great voice for the marginalised in our society. While some of the goals set in the Millennium Development Goals (aiming to reduce poverty and social exclusion) are going to be met there are still severe problems and challenges that require proper attention in the future. GCAP intends to consult representatives of local groups and CSOs in order to fully understand and assess the weak points of the EU and global development cooperation. This meeting is crucial for GCAP and we would very much appreciate your help and insight that can shed more light to problems local communities are experiencing. The results and case studies of the hearings will provide necessary support for GCAP in the process of negotiations of the post-2015 development agenda. All information will be presented to the EU Delegations in the countries involved, EU representatives, EU Member States, EU Human Rights Task Forces, and the UNDP.
