As usual it boils down to money and the misplaced priorities the people in charge seem to have. There is always plenty of money to waste for nonsense, it seems to me, but for what is important, not so much. I see it everyday in the routine practice of medicine. Heavy, top down bureaucracy is never the answer. We are all witnessing the circus going on with this Ebola situation. If you have time you should review where the CDC spends lots of allocated money, it is very informative, especially the money that they seem to be losing.
