As we arrive to the Pitta Season, here are some helpful hints to keep cool this summer. 1) Chill out! 2) Get outside and enjoy nature 3) Socialize, be with Friends and Family 4) Take to the water! Swim, Kayak, Paddleboard...anything to do with the water! 5) Gentle Yoga Some other side notes to Pitta: Pitta is comprised of the elements of Fire with a bit of Water. So in this season take care to avoid overheating. Eat a lighter diet of fresh fruits and vegetables, especially good for Pitta is cilantro, cucumber, coriander, cumin and fennel. Try CCF (Cumin, Coairander and Fennel seeds whole) tea. Place 1 teaspoon of each seeds in a tea ball or strainer, pour almost boiled water over and steep for 5-10 minutes. Strain and enjoy this tea warm or cool (not ice cold), as it has many benefits. CCF helps to purify the blood, stokes the digestive fires for metabolism, reduces inflammation in the body, and helps to clarify the mind, as well as cooling.
