As we await the full implementation of New Yorks medical marijuana law, Senator Chuck Schumer and I have urged the Department of Justice to grant New York a waiver to allow our families with children suffering from epilepsy and seizures to use cannabis oil as treatment. Cannabis oil has been proven to be extremely effective in easing the pain of children suffering from seizure disorders and its my hope that our families wont have to wait months or even years before being able to ease their childrens pain.
