As we celebrate the holy feast of St Gerasimos, we wish everyone celebrating, our sister parish in Leidchart, as well as the people of the beautiful island Kefalonia, Xronia Polla! Take a look at the heavenly person of St Geraismos: 1. He is the patron saint of Kefalonia Island 2. His body has not decayed after almost 600 years 3.He was a very holy monk of the 1500s 4.Throughout his life, he healed many illness, casted out demons and performed many other miracles. 5. He encouraged the christian faith, during a time of foreign occupation, cultivating a divine love for Christ amongst his people 6. He built convents and monasteries, which still exist today. 7. He is one of the greatest miracle workers in the Orthodox World. St Gerasimos Pray and guide your children !
