As we continue to understand and implement the vision of Pope John XXIII for a New Pentecost, as we continue to understand Pope Paul VIs view of the Church as primarily existing in order to evangelize, as we engage todays lapsed Catholics so we can bring them back to the Lord through the New Evangelization envisioned by Pope John Paul II, and as we heed the call of Pope Francis to go to the peripheries and bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all through kerygmatic proclamation by spirit-filled evangelizers, we, as a parish community continue to implement our Integral Parish Mission and Pastoral Plan. Integral because the Parish must offer everything to everyone, that is: the fullness of the Churchs Mission and Pastoral presence, integrating all elements of the Mission and Pastoral in an articulated manner as well as bringing all Movements, Ministries and Apostolates into one, living, and organic plan. Parish, because only the parish is fully equipped and commissioned for such task. Mission, because the parish, as the local Christian Community, must train its members to be evangelizing, spirit-filled missionary disciples, bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all through their witness and testimony of life and word. Pastoral, because after Acts 2:41 comes Acts 2:42; after kerygmatic proclamation comes catechetical instruction; after conversion comes formation. Finally, Plan, because, in order to carry out this vision, the Parish, headed by the Pastor, under the authority of the Bishop, must do this in an integrated, articulated, organized, step-by-step and sequential manner.
