The Lexington Democratic Town Committee will have its first meeting of 2015 on Thursday, January 8th at 7 p.m. in the Large Meeting Room at Cary Memorial Library. We will discuss our agenda for the coming year and, we hope, get suggestions from you concerning speakers we might invite and programs we might present. We will also address vacancies that currently exist on the Committee and review proposed organizational changes to improve the Committees performance in such areas as outreach and fundraising. In addition, Sen. Mike Barrett will make a presentation concerning his pending carbon tax legislation and ask for the Committees approval of a resolution in support of the proposal. We apologize for the relatively short notice of the meeting, but, since several of the agenda items will require a quorum of voting members, we hope to see as many of you there as possible.
