As we face the end times, the rate of divorces in the Body of Christ has been astronomically high. Through personal observations of marriages that are ending in divorces, my question to God has been Why? God said that a lot of people are marrying people that are not suitable or fit in the divine Will of God for their lives. People are marrying folks before they are even ready for marriage. Marriage was created for ministry and suppose to reflect God in our lives. God wants marriages to represent the Kingdom of God and we are to join with another person that God put us together with not our flesh. Tonight at 7pm at Word Up Bible Study, I will be teaching on how to identify a suitable mate for your life. When you are dating someone or on the verge of marrying a person, you need to ask these questions concerning whether this person is the one God wants you to join yourself to. Is this person suitable for you? How is this person enhancing my life? How do this person fit into the divine plan of God for you life? When it comes to marriage, you need to truly seek God for direction and answers on whether this person is the mate that He wants you to have not what you want to have. People are always telling singles that they need to hurry up and get married but if they marry the wrong person, there’s more sorrow and regret than ever before. Is this person I am marrying truly connected to my destiny or just a distraction that will derail me from fulfilling the divine purpose God has for me? As a born-again believer, we should want God’s perfect Will in our lives not His permissive Will especially when it comes to marriage. God says that marriage was for ministry and it was never created to end up in all these divorces that we see in the church. We must remember that God didn’t want Adam to be alone but that didn’t mean Adam was lonely. Loneliness is a spirit and can make us vulnerable in which we will settle and select a person that we know if we were truly healed would never even pick or consider as a mate in our lives.
