As we fix our eyes on Christ, we have everything we need in the wilderness… NOW. We cannot punish those whose faith is weaker than ours. We are a people called out, uniquely called to listen to God who is our successful and sympathizing high priest. We are a people of God who will enter into suffering and temptings, but that is not by happenstance, that is by God’s divine design where he is purifying us and teaching us obedience. He is perfecting his work in us, bringing it to completion.
