As we start a new year at School we thought we would let people know what our plans for the garden are:- We are hoping to make the outdoor learning area that the PTA kindly laid out with raised borders and a pond a few years ago, into a sensory garden. We have made a start with children from the environmental class helping and also pupils who are taking part in the enrichment curriculum are helping as well. The garden is a bit run down so we have starded clearing weeds and a hedge that has died. Jorden did a good job of digging up the hedge and hopefully we can use the dead branches from this to build the bug house that had been started but needs renovating. Mrs. Brotherwood has managed to order a new hedge from the Woodland Trust, who give native hedging to schools. We have also started to clear a border that had a lot of weeds. We are hoping this will become a herbaceous border with something of interest through the year. We are going to add a few pictures and will show the progess as we go through the year. Any Ideas or donations of plants would be gratfully recieved. Maybe you are clearing your gardens after the summer and have some spare. Photos to follow.
