As well as being concerned about a 1080 processing factory I hope everyone here is trying to do something about a far more important issue affecting human health and the natural environment in the Rolleston area, and indeed most of New Zealand. That issue is water pollution. It is predominantly caused by dairy farming. Not all dairy farms are responsible - just those that do dirty dairying. If you are not aware of the problems (and I am sure that is not the case) see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_pollution_in_New_Zealand for a start in researching the topic. Selwyn District Council has some major water pollution issues. E.coli in Dunsandel and Darfield, and elevated nitrogen levels (responsible for blue baby syndrome if it is too high) in a number of wells and just some of the problems. This is a problem right now!
