As with the O.T., the N.T. can be split into different parts, there are the four Gospels, or the record of the mission of Jesus of Nazareth. The Acts of the Apostles, being the record of his followers activities, the letters, or epistles, mainly written by St. Paul, and finally the Revelation of St. John The Divine. I am not going to attempt to analyze the latter as I really do not have sufficient insight to do so. As far as the Gospels are concerned they are, after the story of the birth of Jesus, memories of His teachings. These need hardly be gone over in any great detail as just reading them is self explanatory. The story of the Virgin Birth gives some people problems. The reality is that, irrespective of whether ione believes this, Jesus can still legitimately claim to be the Son of God (or for that matter the Son of Man). If God is, as the Christian believes, the creator then we are all children of God. – Thus the contention, in that context, is correct. Jesus taught that the unconditional love of one’s fellow man is the greatest way of life to which one can aspire. All of His teachings flow from this. He deliberately associated with the dregs of society demonstrating that everyone had value and continually preached against a stratified society wher some were better than others. This is where I suggest that, whether a Christian, in the literal sense of the word, or not following His teachings is always right. Tomorrow I will deal with the letters of St. Paul. Goodnight, dear friends an once more I pray that the Blessing of God Almighty mey be upon each and every one of you. Love you all.
