As you all know, I am unable to kill a spider. I have to do the glass and card trick and place it safely outside. Obviously the opposite action is to stamp on it and kill it, but I always refrain from such barbarity. However, I have a dilemma. Im not sure how it sits on my conscience when I am forced through no fault of my own to suck the creature up through the vacuum cleaner nozzle. Is this a sort of halfway house between a good and an evil action? Can I do this without feeling guilty? I always think the spider will stay alive after being suctioned and live a happy life amidst the waste of the vacuum cleaner bag. But what if Im wrong, and the poor thing perishes en route? What will become of me then?:-)
