As you all know, WAG’s founder and the original “shelterer of puppies”, Fran, is currently in Canada with her new baby boy (Hooray!). What you may not know is that “deputy shelterer” Neha is also pregnant and heading to the USA in February for her baby time. As such, from February to May of 2015 WAG will not be able to provide physical shelter space for puppies (unless someone willing to provide shelter space comes forward). However, whenever possible WAG will continue to facilitate foster placements and adoptions during this period. All of this to say that if you find a puppy in need and make the decision to rescue it, you can still contact WAG. If WAG has not exceeded its capacity, one of our volunteers will help support you in caring for the puppy (providing food, vaccinations, and medical care) and will try to help you find a forever home for it. If you cannot shelter the puppy, we will work to find a good foster home for it, contingent on the availability and generosity of foster homes. We are currently looking for volunteers to help us with this transition period.
