As you all know ,today was our 20 /21 week anomaly scan and fetal echo- Alexandrias heart is functioning beautifully. Her structures,muscles and valves are beautiful and her four chambers are perfect. She was very uncooperative and fiesty! Very very fidgety putting her arms over her chest during her echo- tossing and turning . During her Anomaly scan her head spine face heart abdomen were perfect her little arms hands legs and feet were so beautifully cute (note the wave in the photo) However, her chest is abnormal and showing a mass most consistent with what they call a CPAM - Congenital pulmonary airway malformation. Within the week I will have an MRI to see what it looks like ,where it is exactly located and the size - we will then meet with a surgeon afterwards because it may need to be surgically removed at birth. Sometimes they grow and shift the placement of the heart or attach to the aorta. We ask for prayers ,strength,hope and lots of love
