NEW JOB OPENING - SAFETY ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (HARRISBURG, PA) Immediate opportunity for a Safety Administrative Assistant in PA! The MYR Group Inc., one of the country’s oldest and largest electrical contractors, has an immediate opportunity for a Safety Administrative Assistant to support our national safety department for our office in Harrisburg, PA. The Administrative Assistant supports the functions related to safety programs, regulatory controls and compliance in the electrical construction industry. Duties included but not limited to: Compile, maintain and manage internal safety department electronic files on servers File JSSR’s Status Reports, BP JSSR’s and other files created by field safety personnel. Store and maintain these documents on internal server Auditing of Injury and incident claims including compare/contrast internal data with insurance carrier data to identify incomplete data or missing data Maintain equipment list for safety personnel. (I.e. vehicle, computer, phone and other company owned property) Assist field safety personnel with document preparation for training programs (print, copy and bind training materials) Enter and monitor appropriate employee data (consisting of MVRs, DLs, WC Claims, time cards, vacation requests, PTO requests, vacation tracking, etc.) into ESS Compliance Suite or JD Edwards system Review ESS case entry to ensure all mandatory fields are complete Provide reports as requested to management, customers and internal staff Create and maintain employee Safety/DOT files Capture and deliver injury / incident data on a weekly interval for publication in 60 Seconds for Safety, a company safety newsletter issued weekly Run/monitor new employee and annual MVRs, CDL renewals, and medical re-certification’s OSHA reporting as required Other duties as assigned Qualifications: 2 or more years of experience in an office setting; preferably in commercial electrical operations, transmission/distribution operations, or general construction operations Must be able to successfully assist with issues related to Workman’s Compensation claims and general occupational safety concerns Must be able to interface with, and provide general project support to, operations and safety professionals Associates Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred Practical administrative experience; preferably with safety, insurance and workers’ compensation policies/regulations Strong written and oral communication skills, strong attention to detail, is self directed and has the ability to think logically Ability to interface effectively with all levels of personnel Excellent computer skills including MS Word and Excel Excellent benefits including: Paid vacation Paid holidays Medical Dental Vision Life insurance 401k Salary is commensurate with experience.
