As you begin a new week, I encourage you not to ask God what He would have you do unless you intend on doing it. Sometimes we are stubborn children. We ask God for his will and his direction but when we get it we are reluctant to follow. This just happened with my son and I last night. He asked me if he could help me as I was mounting our tv in the living room. I said sure, you can help with this. Seconds later, he was distracted by a tool and then I let him know that I didnt need his help anymore. Sure he could have still helped me, but his lack of follow through disqualified him for that moment. I am teaching him to follow through, be obedient and to finish what he starts. Isnt that what God is teaching each of us? So, while we desire Gods will in our lives, we have to recognize there are two parts to it: His will and our obedience to it. Without both, we arent in His will at all.
