As you know the snow is flying here in Utah. While we are snug inside our homes, safe and warm, others are not so fortunate. We are organizing a pet supply drive for the homeless pets and their people. These people sacrifice a warms bed in the shelter to stay with their pets on the streets. Now is the time to give. We go out once a week to hand out items. .Donation items that are needed : Puppy Food- We have a lot of dogs under the age of one that we are helping. Some are dogs that are having a hard time maintaining a healthy weight and need the extra nutrition ect. in the puppy food to help them. When living on the streets in the cold they need all the extra nutrition they can get just to maintain body heat. Dry dog food for small dogs- Kibble or small bites. Something easy that small, and older dogs can eat Canned Alpo- We have a couple of dogs that will Only eat this. Moist and Meaty or Little Champs packets- We have a few dogs that will only eat these Simple dog harness - We have lots of bully breeds, and large dogs in need of these. They need to be ones that can be put on, and taken off with ease. Sturdy leashes - They need to be something you can walk a large dog with. Large and xxl Collars Sturdy toys- Toys that Large dogs can really play with. The soft fluffy ones get ripped apart in a matter of seconds and become choking hazards ect. Cat treats Large collapsible bowls XL-XXL Sweaters Xl-XXL Water resistant coats - They need something to help them keep dry from the snow. Once they get wet there is no place for them to go to get dry and warm. They then ended up getting very sick or suffering from hypothermia and frostbite. xxs water resistant coats- We have received lots of cute little sweaters, but nothing that is going to keep them dry when it snows. Small bottles to put dog shampoo in to pass out Medium to Large size storage bins- Not only does it help keep the donation items organized, and easy to load into our cars, it keep the donations dry when we go out in the snow to hand them out. Shelving- We are in great need of shelves to put in our storage bin to store and organize items on. It will help us know when certain items are getting low. We currently do not have any.
