As you may or may not know, myself and 9 others are taking part in the Mens Health survival of the fittest 10k urban assault course in order to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Together we are hoping to raise £2000. As myself, Jaimie Moss, Jack Woolnoth and Josh Davies planned to meet up this weekend, we decided to help raise awareness for our cause by waxing our legs. Or at least part of them.. The video was in the end, somewhat rushed due to restrictions on time however I hope you enjoy the pain and suffering we all went through, all in the name of charity! It is important at this point to speak more seriously about why we did what we did. Although it was done in good spirit and fun for a great cause to help spread awareness of what we are doing and to hopefully encourage you to donate, for us, it is also to help appreciate just a tiny part of what cancer patients may have to go through sometimes throughout their recovery process. As I am sure you all know, patients may have to go through the trauma of losing all their hair, on top of all the pain and suffering that they have to deal with, with no guarantees of recovery coming from it. We may have to spend the next couple of months looking like girls with no hair on our legs, but that is nothing compared to having to lose all your hair and in some cases completely changing how you look and feel.
