Ashok Agarwal, Captain Gopinath, Mallika Sarabhai, Savita Bhatti - TopicsExpress

Ashok Agarwal, Captain Gopinath, Mallika Sarabhai, Savita Bhatti and so on and so forth; when, where, if, where and how will the fledgling Aam Aadmi Party arrest the slide and re-establish its credentials as the real representative of the harassed, harrowed, bruised and battered Aam Aadmi........ The shooting off of angry and spiteful letters and e-mails to one Mr. Arvind Kejriwal seems to have become the norm rather than the exception and supposedly slighted ex members of the fledgling party are not drawing the line at shooting of letters and e-mails but also washing dirty linen in public with a gleeful and holier than thou media gleefully discharging the role of messenger........ And now comes the vexing, disturbing and perturbing news of the party having offered a parliamentary ticket to the very man who callously and disdainfully reversed or then set aside some of the most significant and far reaching decisions taken by the Haryana bureaucrat cum whistle blower Ashok Khemka......... Yes you did indeed hear it right, the Aam Aadmi party bigwigs for reasons best known to them have offered Yudhbir Singh Khyalia; the man who is famous or rather infamous for upturning or then should I say overturning most if not all the decisions taken by Khemka as soon as he succeeded him as the head of the Haryana governments land consolidation department....... One may do well to recall the fact that the very same Mr. Khyalia had trashed more than 97% of all decisions taken by Khemka pertaining to the cancellation of the cosy land mutation deal between one Robert Vadra and real estate and construction joint major during his stint in the land consolidation department........ One also recalls the fact that he was more than a willing participant in the macabre act of lynching the honest, upright and conscientious Mr. Khemka during the last few months of his tenure and now the ex-bureaucrat has been accorded the opportunity of being the Aam Aadmi Party candidate from the Hissar parliamentary seat in the state of Haryana......... In a lame duck and somewhat limp defence of its logic defying decision, the Aam Aadmi partys chief spokesperson Rajiv Godara touted the fact that the party has already asked/requested the public to step/come forward and point out or highlight the corruption cases filed or pending against its candidates and in the same breathe also pointed out the fact that the bureaucrat concerned would be accorded an equal opportunity to defend himself against all the charges levelled against him....... Werent the very same bigwigs of the Aam Aadmi party in hot pursuit of Mr. Ashok Khemka; beseeching, imploring and cajoling him into becoming an Aam Aadmi Party member as well as parliamentary candidate from a constituency of his choosing within the state of Haryana; and pray will the party bigwigs explain what (condidtions) has/have changed at the ground level forcing their hand into taking this highly controversial and utterly regrettable decision....... Ashok Khemka was being portrayed as a messiah of sorts who showed the courage and spine to take on the son-in-law of the nations first political family and remained steadfast despite the immense political and other pressures being exerted on him from any and every conceivable direction/source; then what changed within a matter of weeks/days that the said Mr. Khemka is at best a fading memory while his bete noire is being rewarded........ All one can say in conclusion is that ordinary party members like me (membership number 9001049812) are to put it mildly, bewildered, flabbergasted, befuddled and utterly confused by almost all of the decision being taken off the party off late....... In fact, the situation seems to have become so grave and alarming that founder member Kumar Vishwas is reported to have shot off an angry and spiteful missive to the party high command questioning the methodology being employed in the selection of party candidates and the daily flip flops, clarifications and rejoinders being issued on the same issue with nauseating regularity....... All is not lost, all that the party bigwigs need to do is to take loyal party members like us into confidence and explain the rationale behind every decision taken regarding the selection of party candidates as the same would enable us to rebuff all doubting thomases and drum up support for both the party as well as its deserving candidates with renewed enthusiasm and new found/resounding confidence.......
