Asian equity markets were mostly higher on Tuesday following - TopicsExpress

Asian equity markets were mostly higher on Tuesday following another record close on Wall Street, but falling commodity prices weighed down Australian markets. On Wall Street, the S&P 500 and the Dow rose to record highs with investors tracking corporate results as the earnings season starts to wind down. There is little in the way of macro news at the moment and this is allowing the markets to run; the U.S. markets, in particular, are gunning for any reason to head higher....The knife is still falling in oil, industrial commodities and iron ore. So, I would be watching anything with U.S.-exposure, or that continues to return capital to shareholders, as being very attractive in the current environment. NIKKEI: 16893.86 (+0.68%) HSI: 23876.23 (+0.55%) ASX 200: 5511.90 (-0.22%) SHANGHAI: 2495.29 (+0.87%) KOSPI:1961.05 (+0.14%) CNBC 100: 7165.44 (-0.09%) SGXNIFTY: 8407.00 (+0.20%) Domestic markets expected to open little higher between positive global cues. Nifty may have resistance around 8370-8400 whether support comes around 8300. Little pressure in previous session but good to see that Nifty managed to sustain above 8300. Despite of sharp recent rally unless Nifty holds 8300 level on closing basis Nifty may keep forming new highs at every one or two gap.
