Aside from family members and friends, there is no one with whom you spend more time than teachers. While some large state universities dont require any teacher recommendations as part of the college application process, many colleges ask for at least one, if not two letters of recommendation. Therefore, it behooves you to develop good relationships with your high school teachers so that when it comes time to write a recommendation they know you both as a student and a person.
