Asking for lots of positive thoughts and prayers that my accounts have not been compromised. I had cable/internet problems and called the number that came up for CHARTER (800-786-4207) to resolve issues . . . called was on hold and disconnected/dropped (that was normal) so called back on hold; got rep after another series of press this press that and hold . . .let them know cable/internet was not working - asked regular questions starting with internet . . . it went on for over 30 minutes (that is normal) . . . they convinced me my accounts were hacked and things started taking a direction I was not comfortable with - needing to pay $289 to stop the international addresses blocking my accounts - then they accessed my screen and showed me all these hacked accounts etc and insisted I pay $289 and when I said Id call back they said itd be too late the hackers would totally lock me out, etc . . . I hung up and went in and disconnected my modem, internet box etc . . . but no idea what they were able to get from my laptop . . . Ive since logged in elsewhere and busy changing all my passwords and logins . . .
