Asking for opinions again... and love those who said no dont do it.... Have been asked to run for Mayor of Mastic Beach Village again (quite a few times over the last few days). Honestly, right now unless I see a candidate that will step up and do it properly... I wont and am not ruling out considering a Trustee position (unless the are more candidates for that than can help residents). This would mean that things would have to be structured, a plan on how to do so, and you move forward with it. I think that makes sense. That would require restructuring what I do right now, and I feel like I do some good work on LI and would like to continue to do that.I want a (and many do) local govt that will take care of their people and the needs of the community without an agenda or one perceived. Please, get it going or Im not ruling it out. There are things that need to be fixed and ways to fix it. I guarantee that IF no one steps up to the plate and can provide a clear path to solutions to the area, I will have to run. That being said, please let me know any needs for the community.
